Reserves

All the candidates have a reserve price – this is an undisclosed minimum price on their services.
The minimum reserve allowed is anything (therefore the minimum day rate you will pay for candidates listed on our site is anything plus VAT).

The prices you see are inclusive of all charges, but exclusive of VAT.

As a buyer you will not know the reserve price only whether or not the reserve has been met.
If the reserve is not reached during the auction there will be no winner – the winning bidder must meet or exceed the reserve price and have the highest bid.

Bidding

Bidding on professional associates . com is easy and even fun but it’s also serious in that winning an auction you will have secured the candidate’s services and will need to proceed with the transaction.

Being Outbid

You will be outbid if another participant places a higher price for the candidate’s services before the auction closes.  When you are outbid you will receive an email notification. You can use the link contained in the email to return to the site & place another bid.

Remember: you must have the highest bid at the close of the auction to ensure that you can secure the services of that candidate!

Bid Retraction

Please bid carefully – bid retractions are rarely allowed!

Winning bidders have an obligation to pay the highest-bid price for the services of the candidate.

There are however some exceptional circumstances under which you may retract a bid. For example, if you accidentally enter the wrong bid amount, for example you enter £7,500 instead of £750. If this occurs you must contact your relationship manager who will be able to facilitate your retraction.  Retractions are considered on a case by case basis and are at the discretion of the Relationship Manager.

Winning - Overview

When you have won an auction or completed a transaction to secure a candidate this is what you need to do next:

    • Your Relationship Manager will contact you to discuss your required start date and to confirm the transaction details.
    • Your Relationship Manager will agree the start date with the professional associate and advise you.
    • Your Relationship Manager will then facilitate the agreement or ‘Assignment Terms’ between you and the candidate.
    • If any of the assignment details change prior to the start date you should let your Relationship Manager know.
